2002 Samara Scholarship Recipients:

Samara Foundation is pleased to announce that four students will be receiving $1,100 scholarships for 2002. The Samara Scholarship was established in 2000 as an investment in the future of Vermont students who oppose discrimination and prejudice and who stand for the elimination of homophobia in our society.

Four graduating Vermont high school seniors have been awarded year 2002 Samara Foundation Scholarships. Madeline Veitch of Putney, Tara Sun Vanacore of Bridport, Gabriel Mulley of Norwich, and Bailey Miranda of Faifax were each awarded a $1,100 scholarship.

The Samara Scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate, through personal experiences and/or public commitment, a dedication to the interests of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning (glbtq) community. For more information see our scholarship page.
