Samara Scholarship Recipients:
Samara
Foundation is pleased to announce that three students will be
receiving $1,000 scholarships for 2005. The Samara Scholarship
was established in 2000 as an investment in the future of Vermont
students who oppose discrimination and prejudice and who stand
for the elimination of homophobia in our society.
Three
graduating Vermont high school seniors have been awarded year
2005 Samara Foundation Scholarships. Larson
Hogstrom of Killington, Lauren
Parker of Williston, and Gavin
Rouille of South Burlington were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
The
Samara Scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate,
through personal experiences and/or public commitment, a dedication
to the interests of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and
questioning (glbtq) community. For more information see our scholarship
